Football Fundamentals: RPO Pass Concepts - Quick Hitters

Now that we've covered the evils of "reading" and the concept behind LOS, let's narrow our focus a bit. Currently the most dangerous RPO schemes, both at the low level and at the college level and the NFL level. These are just some of the common software destination settings you can use. We will see.

direction

Landing (or landing) is the most common fast way for RPOs. This is a great concept to add to any open field, as bias is one of the most difficult ways to cover 1v1 and touches open areas that are free of open defenders.

The next two are variations of the theme, which still include the runway, but now the first receiver is the external receiver and the internal receiver is played by defenders. These concepts have become more important as more groups want to keep RPOs covered by men. So instead of reading a guy out of the area, you may be more inclined to read a clean opening path (effectively, if a player sticks a hole behind a bubble, he will throw it into a corner with a clean window; if they stay, because the LB doesn't bite inside, you run away.)

This is a similar idea, but for now we will remove the bubbles, not the noses. Because invisibility can be read quickly, you do the same thing with a bent bubble. If a player above or "in the middle" moves near an ongoing attack project, you are looking for a switch. From there, read the rapid progress of your criteria up or down. Many groups will use it as a PAP in the form of an RPO, as the disappearance must be read quickly (this may not be enough time to read the paleness from the shoulder). From the point of view of RPO, one of the main advantages of this is that it acts as a natural cleanser to aggravate thread loss.

Hook

Throwing gates allow you to use narrow sections in RPO games. If you follow it when you read ILB, you don't follow it. On the contrary, he expanded himself by preserving the receiving space.

Also, this is the best way to deal with a CB explosion. In this case, the coating usually comes from the deep security level that worries them the most. Because they play far away, they are not in the right place to play immediately with tight coverage, so they need to provide more protection. That is, when RPO opens an external WR hook when there is a value.

includes

Like the RPO Hook, the RPO Hook will allow you to use an external WR for a quick return. Find space under the bumper and sit down and exercise.

As an external WR, it usually passed a deep path through the groove (this would be a kind of shield against the deep support). As he deals with WR's closed obstacles, he finds himself on a pitch with no LB behind the game.

get out fast

For groups that like to cheat to combat internal exploitation, this can make it easier to distinguish fast access schemes. This is especially true for the fourth or sixth cover, where the safety cover is responsible for lowering the hatch (or covering the LB hatch).

diagonal 0

It sounds like a deep path, but it's easier to work as an RPO without extensive reading. You can use it as a triple option or as a single external read. For the line concept (Diagonal 9 or Fade-Flat), the QB focuses on the CB. If it falls, it can hit the ground (after reading the playing field), if it is stable, the ball must be thrown over the line to open the grass. This is not a standard elimination, as the area above the sideline attacks the defense above the sideline against more than two defenders.

pop

The pint strip will be a second or third level reading in the direction of the escape hazard. In this case, some kind of QB scan or some kind of QB is often out of the game. If safety is maintained, read the LB and place the pusher in the open and throw it into the first line of defense.

pipe

Pipelines are usually too far to handle games. It's still a pop-up, but the receiver will go after the drama.

and so on.
In some cases, you need to be careful about what an RPO is and what an Action Game Pass (PAP) is. Most of these concepts will apply to both, but for an RPO, the men must be quicker and easier to read to take the ball out before entering the field (often accompanied by a running motion). Oklahoma, for example, made some pop last year, but it works like a real PAP instead of an RPO.

And don't forget that for our next article on third-party crime and campus crime.
