In 2021 I am sharing some interesting shows from a football game in Wisconsin, Michigan - in terms of layout, technique and execution.
Positions in Michigan:
- OL has proven that it defends itself against one of the best runners and continues with run-based attacks (pass percentage adjusts for heavy passes, but Michigan should not give up on who they are).
- QB have shown their ability to make deep WR hits that fit the ball in the air. This helps protect you from vertical hazards
- Michigan High Flight has several schematic benefits against DC
- The Michigan DL recovered more consistently than the rest of the year and got an excellent pass from outside.
- Michigan diagnosed and attacked protectionist tendencies in printed packages
Disadvantages of Michigan:
- The last game is still costly to show more than a fast / average game. He made an effort to adjust to the multiple hits in the Wisconsin area and did not have enough time to catch much and give him a chance to escape. The Wisconsin crowd created an offensive mess while reading.
- Coverage of 7-12 meters remains a challenge. The outerwear is very fashionable and sleek very light, even for the aforementioned outfits. Michigan plays mostly strong defense, but believes it will have to mix more challenges to overcome it.
- Screens are approaching, Michigan was poorly defended and Wisconsin left a lot of screen space on the field.
- Short distances and short red areas (within 5) remain a problem
- Mertz had almost a few strokes that reminded him of the opportunity to get hired. If you do these vertical kicks, it will launch a lot of attacks.
- I thought the task of the game was basically solid. The offensive line is limited and I think some calculations need to be changed, but there are very well-planned / designed schematic games to take advantage of some Michigan defenses.
- For Wisconsin, the top 7 is the best I have ever seen (Iowa and PSU are behind it). Highly disciplined blocks, physical, corrosive, several meters leak. You can play a single or multiple switch to reach the main stops. Shows a lot of insults and makes it difficult to read the game as a crime. The safety of steering support is excellent.
- He was forced to simplify the attack. This reduced the variety and defensive schemes and facilitated a light attack on defensive fronts. I do not think it is a team you can trust in many games. The cake is still not where you need to bend. But at least to find an effectiveness, you need a balanced approach that leads you to different levels of protection.
- OL is no longer dominant. All of the above are shown, but even in basic configurations they allow defenders to build blocks and are not always mastered.
- I'm not sure if this is really negative, but I think the protection of vertical paths is sensitive from the outside. CB Wisconsin tends to be very aggressive and security measures are aggressive to help. This often leaves CBs on the islands and they continue to bite and then double. A strong and well-regulated double action can overcome the peaks of this defense.

This is the first successful race in Michigan. The Wisconsin DL is very good but they do not lose any blocks here and release 6 pic.twitter.com/TDFPw7Amic .

2-4 RPO can be confused with reading. The connection circuit fails during the draw and OLB falls into a wrong window and the game explodes. But adaptive reading was needed pic.twitter.com/dyD5CgsvnD

I have asked some direct questions about this stage call, but it was done to be a success. To prevent the hole from falling, you need to clear the key blocks while you play pic.twitter.com/1C8WDX47rf

The state of Wisconsin used the same / similar scheme against the Michigan RPO, received an RB / KV penalty, and obstructed the RPO, which was read when AR hit the https://t.co/ySCvdngyTL window.

Michigan was the largest area outside of what I thought could be developed. Now, play it safe with the changes you want to make, but one day the basic defense will have to deal with those blows at least pic.twitter.com/w9ifthAIMC

The bad is good, it has a height of 2 and generally makes you a weak crochet hook and is really # 3. However, in this case, QB can confirm that SS is behaving properly and that you have removed hand from the post-lever, which is dangerous to give up.

The first game of the second half was played by Wisconsin. I want to talk about trust: trust in teammates and technology. This belief is a significant change in results for Michigan in 2021 compared to 2020 pic.twitter.com/2t72it7Lpr

What I do not want to call "half gap" is that UM usually opens forward (violation for each gap). It's more of a philosophy of how to act on your gaps. The philosophy is less destructive and illuminating, which protects more space and blocks control, allowing access to other spaces.
