Film Review: Penn State at Iowa, 2021

In 2021, Penn State will bring exciting plays to Iowa football—in terms of format, technique, and performance.

First some general ideas

Advantages of Pennsylvania:

  • I believe in their attack on the field against Cleford. It was a pre-game plan that included the team's strengths and weaknesses and saw it as good to score more than 30 points. I think Iowa is getting used to it and is on the verge of walking off the field in key situations, but the PSU does enough in a variety of ways (shield, mid, deep, confusing). It's hard to stop the generation.
  • Although OL, I found the breeder good. I'm getting the current game in a second, but RB's position isn't a problem.
  • I still love this DL after the injuries. The toughest model for DL played a big game to get Iowa out of the program.
  • Different protective coatings are also a real advantage here. It is very difficult to collect games as an attack.
The Negatives of Penn State:

  • When Clifford got injured, they had no plans to play. 1) It was discovered that there was a player on the Iowa Defense who was unable to back up. 2) The playbook already feels limited by frequency (not entirely unnatural, but it's said). 3) Races generally don't work at all.
  • Right-back OL has a lot of problems both in running and in defence. I liked the links. You can still live there because Iowa is challenging, but not as good in Iowa.
  • I think Iowa was able to identify some of the gaps in that defense, including the ability to determine the specific actions of the PSU as well as the nature of the attack.
Iowa Armed Forces

  • We know downtown Iowa is awesome. Repeated like today. But compared to the Iowa game I saw before, the OTAs have improved a lot. A slightly simpler plan for implementing the Old Testament, but also improved in Pro Passes.
  • While the overall game plan isn't great, there are a few well-designed games that are named after a good time.
  • The QB and receiver played a tough game to keep the chains going.
  • I really felt like the defense had calmed down before Cleford's injury. It looks weird but I think PSU has some complexity in this series.
  • The Iowa Defense Field is unoccupied. The issues raised regarding defensive athletics should now be emphasized a little, since they seem to fall on an outside athletic reception team.
  • The rotation is real. I repeat because a lot of people still think it's a joy. But the way they execute their mission and tactics allows them to play, and they do.
Iowa injuries

  • You must find a way to turn a hard loot into explosives. These are minor improvements, but it's clear that there are few instances where a man or two has avoided a fracture. They don't have good athletes at all levels, but that's not all. It's also not a very effective attack, so it's important to create mines when the opposing attack isn't anonymous.
  • I think there are problems with OG. While OTs have improved, they're not necessarily good. I think Iowa will continue to show good block blitzes, but consistency needs to improve. Similar to Professional Pass (including Arbi Position).
  • It is understood that some of the young men on defense have started to put pressure on them as they start struggling to get onto the field. I said above that I feel like Iowa is close, but it could go the other way. You can feel close and start chasing and losing discipline, and there were many examples in this game that I've seen in Iowa before. Something to watch out for.

Film Review: Michigan at Nebraska, 2021 Part 1

Exciting games - planned, technical, and executive - that set me apart from the 2021 Michigan Nebraska football game. It is divided into two parts according to its length.

Part 2 here.

First, some general ideas:

Michigan Power:

  • Despite the growing diversity of racing games, racing blocks continue to improve. This puts a lot of pressure on the defensive front.
  • Michigan found a way to create explosives in an ongoing game a few weeks before the game. They were very effective, but they can get explosives, the ground game really works
  • They found a comfort zone with empty collisions. I think they will express it in passing
  • DL really, really showed up. The Nebraska Front is struggling, but Michigan actually dominated on a block in the 1st.
Weaknesses in Michigan:
  • So many wrong shots. You have the ability to convert and recover TD, which you should do whenever you can. In general, past crimes are still believed to depend on open planners.
  • WILL LB’s attitude has been consistently aggressive and generally surprising, but we can see some teams fighting and working hard against each other. Mike is also given a hard time. General communication and visual discipline, especially perimeter, should continue to improve
  • I thought we sometimes see external technical issues and trust. It makes you tremble and it’s not a constant problem, it’s something to consider

Highlights of Nebraska:

  • Frost was very well prepared for the drama, the action, the structure, the execution. He threw the kitchen sink, lined up a pile, and made life very hard for the LBs of Michigan.
  • I thought Nebraska was blocking the neighborhood very well. Overall, I like the way their OLs are doing and have progressed in their career change over the last couple of weeks.
  • This is the law of DL. I think I’m talking about a lot of B1G bands, but DL fascinates me more than MSU.
  • I thought CB5 was a very good game. Her power on an island allows Nebraska to defend herself more because she can be trusted to cover up her man.
Weaknesses of Nebraska:
  • It was very difficult to watch this match to block the 1st level. Pass Pro isn’t good yet, but I think the biggest problem is that the combinations don’t hold up well, they rarely move forward, and the blocks fall off very easily. It forces the crime to act in its own way.
  • Martinez right now. It vibrates and accelerates under pressure, which forces it to work outside the model. It’s very good now, but when the plan is the strength of the team, it’s not the way to pursue success.
  • Weaknesses in LB in terms of security and coverage. Michigan has addressed these issues and has therefore been somewhat successful.
Don't isolate yourself

Film Review: Michigan at Nebraska, 2021, Part 2

In Nebraska, I'm watching some exciting games of the 2021 Michigan football game - schematic, technical and performance wise. It was divided into two parts according to its length.

Part 1 is here.

Film Review: Michigan State at Indiana, 2021

I share interesting bits, schematically, technically, from the 2021 Indiana football game in Michigan.

At the end of the article, I will briefly talk about the Michigan v. Michigan.

Michigan

You have already shared MSU, which you can find here: LINK

The pros and cons come mainly from the previous looks, but some things have emerged.

  • Slade had a very good DT in this game, arguably the most annoying DL in MSU.
  • In attack-defense, some serious tricks helped the MSU a lot.
    • Up front, moving from a strong side split to a weaker side split helped make the LBs a little more stable, using the strong momentum of the angled DL against them.
    • On the defensive, the move from conventional Cover 3 և Cover 4 mods to more human / external media limited some of the screen elements that were very effective in the first half (especially the edge). The downside was that this resulted in a series of defensive interference flags.
The most important events in Indiana

  • The offense tended to have a solid Michigan offensive plan, using movement and inside training to boost numbers and take advantage of them.
  • Experienced guys are strong. There are some in the WR who can adapt well to the ball in the air (which helps them gain DPI), I think their RBs are really solid but not explosive.
  • I really like LB, especially with McFadden. I think they are good at collecting blocks, understanding gap discipline, trading for free caps on the ball.
  • Despite being a good CBA playmaker, the defender has worked extremely well to keep away. They have a strong sporting spirit there, they prevented big blows at Moscow State University.
Indiana vs:
  • OL has a lot of work to do. There were decent extensions based on MSU breaking problems. With this move, he was more successful in limited experiments. But they could not enter, the archers constantly rose to the second level with great difficulty, regardless of emergencies.
  • It is clear that QB had problems with this. Accuracy, defensive reading, etc. He left a lot of yards - some points on the scoreboard. This problem խնդիրը The OL problem mentioned above obviously plays a role in the red belt problem.
  • There seem to be areas where some gaming trends are picking up and I expect OSU to pick up some. They can move, use their momentum against themselves.
  • They also seem to give short / medium throws with some texture. Attack Them համ Patience before attacking them can open more for MSU.

Looking forward. Michigan - State of Michigan 2021

I state that I don't like making game predictions. Many variables - you present it as a result or a forecast - actually mean nothing. It is free? sure, but I've been consistent with this over the years.

I can say that I have seen the end of this match, apart from the penalty. If Michigan could finish driving with a click, I think it would be difficult for MSU to have enough resources to earn enough points. If MSU could detonate its explosives, I think it would be difficult at first for Michigan to reverse transition crime (note this is different from a balanced transition). And of course, things can be scored, like the MGU-MGU record match և the first 20 wins. Who knows.

Something I've seen from every team that I expect them to use in their game plan.

Michigan runners / walkers must find a way to pass the ball to Walker from outside the box. Low Security և Strong Defense - The first two defenses against the Spartans (Nebraska և Indiana) show that you can include Walker in a game that isn't a very varied running game. Therefore, they will only use it as a last resort. It also defines multiple QB rolls.

They need to be patient with the Michigan state map . I expect Michigan to properly support Cover 4 MOD with some of the Cover 3 patterns to help protect the CB from deep hits. The courses are shown below. The short-term turnaround of the HDI hasn't always been impatient - it could put pressure on the explosive game. Must be patient, take the indicated meters, then explosives will appear.

The people of Michigan have nowhere to go. They make. Just like in the game against Wisconsin, they need to be more balanced և use the first և second passes (i.e. when making free throws on the first down, Cade cannot shoot from deep, there is no need to show that you can hit them, because you don't do it, if it is not open take half) և take some hits if you enter with chains from the first fall. In fact, Indiana has an unnaturally high scoring percentage against MSU (compared to the current season), և the Wolverines are superior here.
