"Written in chalk", do you understand? Like "written in stone" or "written in blood" but on a foam board. That's the Buddy and Julie Miller album I've never heard of, but that's the way out. It's written on a dry eraser board with permanent markers by mistake, because someone put it here and look now, I can't fucking erase it, but it's not very moving.

"Writing with chalk" has always been one of my favorite parts of training, which is not the act of training itself. It was working with the staff, drawing something on the board, and constantly saying "what if." And as soon as you do that, other people ask. "What if we do that?" And this brainstorming activity takes you to all these distant and exciting destinations, but sometimes what comes out is pretty cool.
