Football Fundamentals: I-Formation RB Gap and Pull Run Plays

This is a series of posts with lots of game charts. Where it does not have depth, we hope it will compensate for the width. The purpose of this article is to present the many subtleties of a racing game that are beyond the basic things available to you that you can find almost anywhere. I will highlight a few key features of the game, but most of the cards will stand out on their own, except for a brief description. This position is (necessarily) limited to the powerful drama given directly to the RB. Excludes FB, QB, H-Back, Wing, TE or WR runs. It also does not include the option set. This thing for the next post.

Why did I choose a training that is mostly out of fashion and how can I expect to use this information? I-Formation is a classic two-set that made great history during the introduction of football. After all, it is a highly adaptable racing configuration, featuring wheel shift, H-back and other aspects that fit almost any racing concept into its frame. And here's the point: you can watch an ongoing game in i-formation and easily transfer it to many modern formations. With footwork and possibly changing times, any one of these games can be used in the following cases, for example:

  • Walk with two defenders (the second defender might be FB, H-Back, Wing or Sniffer)
  • 1-back shotgun QB run (Arabic as an extra block)
  • Read option 1-back shotgun (read run-run, run-pass, or pass-run options replace extra blocks).
Many of today’s great border crossings often return to old patterns. In the NFL, with the modern broadcast concept, you see a lot of the best offenses using the Wing T concept (variants and fake suits are not included in this article, so it is somewhat limited). Below, each match is associated with two equal main fronts (4-3 overs and less).

Let's take a look at Gap Racing and Basic Shooter Racing games now.

Game delivery
Twins
Also known as "Power Without Extractor". Read RB MIKE on Duo . When MIKE is complete, Arabic jumps. When MIKE scratches upwards, RB hits the middle. Often confused with inland areas, there are certain subtleties to distinguish them, but it is important to note that this is a gap racing game, not a zone racing game.

Stomach cramps
A gap-blocking variant of the belly game, known for attacking corners. Here, the attacking line will close the gap (double and return), and FB will quickly remove the defensive EMOL. Arabic will fall quickly and try to get between the outside blocks and kicks. Dual teams do not expand because the goal is to create a game fold and quickly overcome it.

Bounce
A gap-blocking game that looks like a Duo but bounces The initial path of the RB is similar to that of the Duo, but the FB registers the EMOL and the goal of the game is to seal the inner defense before it jumps.

Shooting game
Too much power
RPO - Run regular ribbon . Ordinary running games, if it ever existed, could be launched against any front in a variety of ways .

Mainstream Y.
A racing match with three Arabic. The first side of the RB will now be the player “knock out” and the second side will lead through the hole. Can be calculated with a play call, only structure (if Y is out, it turns into a back) or another set of rules.

Single wire ball O
Another series of three RBs, we now use unique power and rear blockers (hit with OT) to allow the second lead blocker to pass through the hole. Due to the non-extensible nature of LOS, it tends to be a little narrower. Note, however, that if an unblocked defender threatens the edge, the "front blocker" on the playing side must be held responsible instead of leading through the opening.

Off
Another version of Power O, this time it does not bet on extended doubles, only the down block (i.e. not the first level combination block, the exposed OL going straight to the second level). This helps strengthen the game's late defenses and makes the game much more D-run than an ABCD interval.

Power recovery
Power and another form of it, now with the desire to jump out. To do this, FB now registers EMOL and OG shooting bypasses it. To make sure it is sealed inside, OG may have to double the EMOL and so the double side of the game / TE works with the LB side of the game.

That boss of power
Y-Boss is a nice change of pace when the defense starts to slow down the game on the SS side. Due to the path (Y is trying to work outside of EMOL) it looks like a root exit or series block, which helps to extend EMOL to kick out, which makes it a well-planned answer for 6 / 6i DE or DE Makes technology. Offer. Note that this reading is usually played on a CD, because the rear LB is no longer counted with the front.

Single supply and
When a power O is executed from a rear structure, the invading EMOL is responsible for eliminating the protective EMOL. Even if we have a two-defender set, we will now use the second RB as the header blocker and therefore block the LOS as a one-throw pass. This is a good change of pace if you have a defensive EMOL that tries to strike an internal strike or badly because there is no room for it against the LOS blocker. It also helps if the LB on the play side passes the OG in front of the hole, because now the lead blocked FB can hit fast.

Boss is a single force
Another way to manage SS. This time we use one power and single spin and use extra spin for SS. It can work outside of LOS or through LOS as needed.

Single rail power o
Adding a split current to the power O makes the protection very difficult to detect. This allows the rear OT to go straight to the second level to shorten the rear LB.

BOB single power o
Look at another of the split currents. But here FB will work in LB's hole. For this reason, Arabic is first allowed to read the middle block. If the center loses on the playing side, he can hold that block and penetrate the RB back gap A. Otherwise, the gameplay side of Power O comes back alone. This will help prevent runoff from the back of the house.

Strength c
Traditionally, this is more of an online call. In cases where the 4i rear technique can be difficult to block downwards, the cross may work better than the OG rear. However, if the defense controls your defenders and you have a center that can shoot, this is a nice change of pace and allows the game to hit a bit faster as the center is closer to the player's side, but keep in mind that there is a recession right now. Run BCD

Power-o scissors
Now there is nothing to read, cut the ball again in the Arabic game. Ideal against overflow from behind.

Power scissors power o
Same as in previous games, but now we use FB as an additional lead block to block the rear LB.

Cable protocol t
We move away from Power O and now attack from outside in front of T. To do this, we now plan to use FB to save EMOL and allow Tackle to exit the game.

Crack tea lude
Magazine blocks can be complex, so using crack blocks adds an extra block to the side of the game and allows the desired layout of the rastrack to place two blockers outside the front cover. This allows the FB head to be locked on any protective filler, forcing the CB to attack instead of the LB.

Crack lead GT
Shoot the two top OLs just like in the game This match needs to come out fast because LB can close that gap, but it creates a lot of mass on the outside to lead the attack.

O Vou GT effect
Taken from the Flexbone / Wing T-Game build, it uses natural defensive flows in response to the Lead GT. Throw the ball into the RB on the way to the start just like the lead GT and once you get the ball, work through the straight lane. This game can be a DL unlock, which means you have to see the evidence of their prey shooters. TE can move its first level block as soon as the shooter feels the release of DE. Overflow counter d

OG scan
Classic long game with OG draw. Try sealing the EMOL inside to make both subtractions work; FB This task can be assigned.

Download the emission scan
Add an exciting game QB. This effectively eliminates the danger of a pass, but like a QB attack, it adds an extra edge to block play. Four blockers in front of the outer hook.

Packer wipers
Racing game that made Lombardy famous. Here, FB will lead through the hole and help to double the DT on the playing side before that duplication at the LB level. Helps to prevent internal intrusion and prevents LB from playing stream on game site due to FB path.

* Please note that all naming is mine, although I try to stick to the standard. In addition to adding games, you can add "markers" to base games (as I did) or create simple word names to replace short contacts.
