Creation of screen games
It's built in the Dos Formation where Wisconsin is headed. The piece uses two closely spaced VOC twins. Thus, the defense saves a lot of space along the front, but placing two H defenders outside of the OT allows for some variety in the game.
When Michigan first showed this structure, they used it to control football. This is a basic indoor game
They implement a running game , as you would expect , a split zone and an H counter ( for example ) and stretching. As a result, Swap Boot has become a nominal iteration that can be predicted. However, they also used zone runs to set up vertical transitions. Here they have a passage between the outer WR and TE and then follow the flood path to the wider side of the site.
Note that the WR in the back carries the excavations and the TE stays in the back to block.
This is important because now you can make it a game action trend and build on it.
You have two vertical crossovers on the wide side of the field, the WR has a vertical exit in the back and the TE unit in the back stays to help you out. But in fact, this does not interfere, it is a whole structure. It's not even the first time Michigan has done this, but it seems to be a trend they've set in the vertical transition game.
transmission trend
All year when I was on the Michigan team, they showed you how often (because that's the strength of the team line-up) they change course to emphasize the importance of the goal.
Although the concepts they use together are different (grid and yoga respectively), both lead to the release of the inner receiver beyond the bottom of the vertical path.
The Yogi concept itself is an iteration beyond the previous grid route as it simulates a drag route before returning outside. But now there is a tendency to release this internal receptor.
What are you doing? They make an outer pass under the vertical route, have the guards work from above, and then buckle inward.
You always attack the same areas of the court (hook zone, right zone and vertical) with your concepts, but switch tasks after you give the grip a certain look.
Results
The first stages of the performance are fairy tales. You have passions and you usually have reasons. But your ability to show something and then develop it is the foundation of any successful play. Here are some examples of how Michigan has handled practice and graduation.
