Weak edges
The first thing that caught my eye was the pace of the game, and it really started with the fall. Ryan Day Justin Field says he hopes to do downtown work this year . Nothing by itself, it is not difficult to know what can be done in the center, and the real fields last year Georgia took a lot of good center and good ball handling and center mechanics.
But the response is slow. No, it does not work at medium speeds, but it is immediately noticeable that it slows down. The former is one of the crimes he committed in this regard, if not, if not his. But at a depth of four feet, it is five steps away from the weapon. When it is actually prepared, it is putting pressure on the face (although RT is suffering from a very indirect movement).
Here is another example. LB goes to the roundabout and enters clean, but needs to clear some gaps and jump on the lawn before the fall. A hotspot cannot be found here. He notices that the footwork is generally clean, that it will be flat when it falls, and that it will have enough depth in the early stages, but the steps that need to be taken are unexpected.
And another example below.
The good news is that they have won two of their last three games on the field. But fall time affects everything you do, because the structure of your foot often determines your reading. If you are late behind your goal, you will be too late to send the ball back to your first chance. When you are late to finish reading this, track times will often steal new progress or force you to pull it out of your pocket due to the pressure. It was not too late for a few seconds, but it was too late to have a permanent effect on him.
No wonder he read the front page and walked slowly to get the ball, as he was a good first grader last year. I'm sure when he arrived in Athens he hit the ball over and over again, pretending to be a clear window to cover the ball. However, the ability to read and activate the defense must take further action when the first line of attack is attacked.
This is the part where the Georgia Field played a lot, which means it had a lot of practice. For the field, it is a midfield race. Georgia is five feet away from hashish. The recording and the mechanics here are great, but this skin could not be cleaner. However, when the receiver returns the ball, he must stop pushing it to the limit. The Bulldogs have played this game half a dozen times on the field, and WR has not won the ball once in half an hour , so you can easily move to the side.
And it's not just about this game, here's another example when it comes too late to identify a crooked central bank. WR is open on the side but waits until it clears rather than wait to be fired. It is not an easily accessible window, and it is almost now, but it has become more and more difficult to work on security (seeing WR no longer helps instead of security).
Due to the strength of his hands, the ball often comes out late and / or does not see him on the cross.
Here you can see the sidewalk only on the sidewalk. In this case, the safety closes the receiver hole, so that the fields drop the ball right over the shoulder to prevent the safety from falling. What they do not see is the LB that the eyes look at once the DB coverage is determined. This ball must be out of WR. Fields throw a good ball, but luckily he is not INT.
And here's the key to reading it: TD Jump (Border Security). The correct key movement in the game was a little tighter when pressed with the lower cross, but the fields had to sit on that two-yard shot and put the ball in the back of the net. Safety does not diminish.
He also plans when the fields will feel the pressure. This usually means going up and down in DE. It is usually very effective, but it is not different. When DE was an OT leader, instead of trying to shake, they often slipped into fields when trying to escape. There is a road here (this is another concept that Georgia has built many tons for the field) but it does not believe it or move on the ground.
In time, the pocket does not store much . When he feels pressure, he falls. Here is an example of Eddie who is useful but insists. Fields could easily be pocketed and save field readings, but his first priority was to run. He works hard because he is a strong runner. The coaches want to get better.
Fields can be a problem for runners when someone tries to win. It has no natural foot for a ball bearing and turns into a twisting motion.
Lotura
I think it's too early to talk about his ability to play on the road. He demonstrated the ability to read from basic defenses and obscure readings in more subtle profiles. But I don't think it takes a lot of work to read so it's not a big criticism right now.
Somewhere
This is a very good video (and usually look at the mechanics in more detail than I did).
Revelation
Power
- Numerous natural arm strength and excellent shooting mechanics help to make every pass and maintain accuracy.
- He throws a very efficient ball.
- More athletic, more efficient and decent runner for this position.
- After a click, he knows very well about his appearance
Weak edges
- His overall game needs a lot of speed.
- The reading cover improvement should continue, and then drag the trigger on the open receiver.
- You are not just a flexible runner.
Closing
There are many more reasons to worry about fields than to worry about them. He has all the natural talents you need in QB and his leadership is great. But not yet, he is not a replacement for Haskin. Fields should improve the overall game. Although he is a young player and this is to be expected, it is a matter of great concern that he does not show much of his ability to read the cover and that he does not improve during the season. Boys move in two directions: 1) accelerate and break their mechanics; 2) They become mechanical and operate intentionally and very slowly. Fields appeared last FR year. Day QB is one of the best in terms of hosting and bringing in Jursik will not hurt anyone, but it will be interesting to see how much the field will improve with this damage, especially outside the bat. It is hard to imagine how much the Haskins would have committed to Buccaneer in 2018 to escape the air. There will be big shoes in the fields. He has all the natural abilities for this.
